Hawaii LifestyleMaking Time and Catching Memories

What is the Hawaiian Lifestyle all about? Rushed is certainly not it. Hawaiians are ok with going a little slower; to stop and smell the sweet scent of Plumeria wafting through the Palms. What makes Hawaii, Hawaii? With the Pacific trade winds lending to our warm and addicting climate there is only one thing to. Breathe deeply and inhale the calm, relaxing air that is Hawaii.

Sure we all work hard but we play and relax just as intently. Sitting by the ocean, enjoying family time and dining with friends makes our way of life seem much more manageable. Rooted in “hooponopono” which means the art of forgiving, Hawaiians hardly harbor bitterness as it can rot out our very soul. Instead we choose to embrace life and release the harmful effects that life can sometimes throw at us.Hawaiian Sunset

We respect our elders and honor our past with life-long traditions rooted in cultural ancestry.  As Hawaiians we feel truly connected to nature and make time for engulfing ourselves in our atmosphere.

Whether it’s fishing, ranching, swimming, hunting or dancing, our way of life gives back to nature and preserves the heritage that we have so lovingly aspired to live up to.

In the late 1700’s the Ranching Heritage of Hawaii began with a gift of long-horned cattle from England to the Hawaiian King, Pai’ea Kamehameha.

This King’s picture is still honored on many local and national signs around every island. The Ranching history was formed when John Parker made friends with the King and offered to handle the over-run population of cattle by hunting and ranching them.

Although the hunting was ceased in 1832 the organized ranching of these cattle is still maintained to this day.
